RecordRTC is a client‑side JavaScript library that leverages the WebRTC MediaRecorder API to capture audio, video, screen, canvas or GIF streams directly in the browser. It provides a simple, promise‑ or callback‑based API, works across Chrome, Firefox, Edge, Opera and Safari (with varying codec support), and is aimed at web developers who need to add in‑page media recording features to applications such as demos, chat apps, e‑learning tools, or any site that requires client‑side capture without server‑side processing.
