YARA-X is a modern, faster, and safer reimplementation of the YARA pattern-matching tool, designed primarily for malware researchers to create rules for identifying malware. Developed and battle-tested by VirusTotal, it aims to eventually replace the original YARA as the default tool for the security community. The project is mature, stable, and actively used in production for scanning billions of files.
