**univeil** is a tiny Node.js library that makes invisible or hard‑to‑spot Unicode characters visible by converting them to explicit escape sequences (e.g., `\u200B`, `\u00A0`) or other user‑defined representations. It’s aimed at developers who need to debug, sanitize, or log text containing control characters, whitespace, or other non‑printable Unicode symbols, and it also provides JSON‑safe output and optional XML character‑reference encoding.
