ExifReader is a lightweight, configurable JavaScript library for extracting metadata (Exif, IPTC, XMP, ICC, MPF, thumbnails, etc.) from a wide range of image formats (JPEG, JPEG XL, TIFF, PNG, HEIC/HEIF, AVIF, WebP, GIF) in both browsers and Node.js. It’s aimed at web and server developers who need to read, filter, or compute image metadata—especially photo‑processing, GIS, or content‑management applications—while keeping bundle size small.
