The **litecore‑lib** repository provides a pure‑JavaScript implementation of Litecoin’s core functionality—address handling, transaction creation, signing, and blockchain utilities. Although it was once the reference library for Litecoin developers, it is now deprecated and considered unsafe for production, with users encouraged to migrate to maintained forks such as **bitcore‑lib‑ltc** or **bitcoinjs‑lib**.
