Level-js is an abstract-leveldown compliant store that provides a backend for LevelUP using IndexedDB in modern browsers, allowing storage of large amounts of data with string and Buffer keys/values. It's designed for web developers building browser-based applications that need robust client-side data storage with LevelDB-compatible APIs.
