`swc-coverage-instrument` is a package that enables IstanbulJS-compatible code coverage instrumentation for the SWC JavaScript/TypeScript compiler. It provides both a WASM-based plugin and a Rust custom transform pass to generate coverage data that mimics Istanbul's `FileCoverage` object, primarily for developers using SWC who need code coverage reporting.
