Defuddle is a JavaScript library that extracts the primary article content from any web page, strips away clutter such as navigation, ads, and sidebars, and returns the cleaned result as HTML, Markdown, or a JSON object with metadata (title, author, date, images, etc.). It can be used in browsers, Node.js environments, or via a CLI, making it ideal for developers building web‑clipping tools, note‑taking extensions (e.g., Obsidian Web Clipper), or any application that needs reliable, readable article extraction.
