This package implements the HTML Standard's encoding sniffing algorithm to detect the character encoding of an HTML byte stream by pre-scanning the first 1024 bytes for `<meta charset>` patterns. It's designed for developers working with HTML parsing or processing, particularly those building tools that need to handle HTML encoding detection similar to web browsers.
