`npm-save` is a small Node.js library that programmatically performs the equivalent of `npm install --save` and `npm install --save-dev`. By exposing `save()` and `saveDev()` promises, it lets other scripts add runtime or development dependencies to a project’s `package.json` without invoking the npm CLI directly. It’s aimed at developers building tooling or automation around npm package management.
