Substyle is a small React hook that lets component authors write default styles once and expose them so users can override the look of the components with any styling method—plain CSS/BEM class names, CSS modules, inline style objects, or popular CSS‑in‑JS libraries (Aphrodite, Glamor, JSS, etc.). It’s aimed at library developers who want their components to be universally style‑customizable without tying them to a particular styling approach.
