digest-stream is a simple Node.js pass-through stream that calculates the crypto digest (SHA/MD5 hash) and length of a stream. It's designed for developers working with Node.js streams who need to easily add digest and length calculation to their streaming workflows. The module can be used by piping any stream through it, and it will emit the calculated digest and length just before the end event.
