node‑smbhash is a Node.js library that generates the LAN Manager (LM) and NT password hashes Samba uses, and it also offers experimental helpers for creating and parsing NTLM authentication headers (Type 1, 2, 3) for HTTP. It’s aimed at developers who need to populate Samba‑compatible password fields (e.g., in LDAP) or implement NTLM authentication in Node applications. (The project is now deprecated and unmaintained.)
