rehype‑ignore is an ESM‑only rehype plugin that removes sections of markup wrapped in special HTML comments (e.g., `<!--rehype:ignore:start--> … <!--rehype:ignore:end-->`). It lets authors keep content visible in source files or GitHub READMEs while automatically stripping it out of the generated HTML, making it useful for documentation writers and developers who need conditional display of markup.
