This project is a Google authentication strategy for Passport, a Node.js authentication middleware, using OpenID 2.0. However, it's now deprecated as Google no longer supports OpenID 2.0, and users are directed to use the [Passport-Google-OAuth](https://github.com/jaredhanson/passport-google-oauth) strategy instead. It was designed for developers building Node.js applications who needed to integrate Google authentication seamlessly.
