read‑file‑yaml is a tiny Node.js utility that loads a YAML 1.2 file and resolves to its parsed contents, returning **null** (instead of throwing) when the path is missing or points to a directory. It’s aimed at JavaScript/TypeScript developers who need a safe, promise‑based way to read optional configuration files in npm projects.
