The **cytoscape‑fcose** project provides a fast, constraint‑aware layout engine for Cytoscape.js graphs. It implements the fCoSE (fast Compound Spring Embedder) algorithm, which handles compound (nested) nodes and lets users fix nodes, align groups, or specify relative placements, delivering layouts up to twice as fast as the previous CoSE while preserving visual quality. It is intended for web developers and researchers who need high‑performance, customizable graph visualizations in Cytoscape.js applications.
