Hardhat License Identifier is a Hardhat plugin that automatically adds (or updates) SPDX license identifiers at the top of Solidity source files in a Hardhat project. It’s aimed at Solidity developers using Hardhat who want to ensure every contract file declares its license consistently—optionally overwriting existing identifiers, filtering which files to process, and even running automatically on compilation.
