The **Internet Archive Item Metadata** library provides TypeScript data‑models that wrap raw JSON from the IA metadata service and automatically normalize values (e.g., dates, durations, arrays) into native TypeScript types with convenient `.value`, `.values`, and `.rawValue` accessors. It is intended for developers building web or server applications that need to consume and work with Internet Archive item metadata in a type‑safe, ergonomic way.
