This smart mirror proof-of-concept is a retail virtual try-on system built for HKT's Graduate Trainee Programme 2023, featuring product browsing, LLM-powered recommendations, shopping cart functionality, and in-store barcode scanning. The system combines a React/TypeScript frontend with a Python FastAPI backend, using YOLOv11 for person detection and pose estimation to provide real-time move guidance to customers. Though the full virtual try-on feature wasn't completed due to latency issues with the DensePose pipeline, the project demonstrates a comprehensive retail technology solution with QR code cart synchronization and webcam-based product lookup capabilities.
