dnsd is a Node.js library that encodes, decodes and serves DNS messages. It lets developers build custom authoritative name servers by handling raw DNS packets as convenient JavaScript objects and provides a simple server API with helpers for common record types (A, MX, SOA, etc.). The package is aimed at JavaScript/Node developers who need to create lightweight, programmatic DNS services or manipulate DNS data.
