`slim` is a Node‑based daemon that consumes Spark event streams emitted by the `spark-json-relay` listener, aggregates detailed application‑level statistics (jobs, stages, tasks, executors, RDDs, etc.) and persists the results in MongoDB for use by the Spree UI. It is aimed at Spark developers or operators who want real‑time visibility into the performance and resource usage of their Spark jobs and need a lightweight service to collect and store those metrics.
