node-uuid is a JavaScript library for generating RFC4122-compliant UUIDs, supporting both version 1 (timestamp-based) and version 4 (random) UUIDs. It runs in both Node.js and browsers, offering cryptographically strong random number generation where available, and includes a command-line interface for generating UUIDs.
