This is a polyfill for the `Proxy` object from ES6, designed for browsers that don't natively support it (IE9+, older Safari). It supports a limited set of traps (get, set, apply, construct) and requires object properties to be known at creation time, making it suitable for change notification systems and similar use cases where object structure is static.
