`youtube-player` (a.k.a. Playtube) is a lightweight JavaScript library that wraps the YouTube IFrame Player API, handling the asynchronous loading, global callbacks, and ready‑state bookkeeping for you. It provides a factory that returns a promise‑based player object with the same methods as `YT.Player` and an event emitter, making it easier for web developers to embed and control YouTube videos without dealing with the API’s quirks.
