`react-pure-render` is a standalone module that provides three ways to implement React's pure rendering functionality: as a function, a base component, or a mixin. It includes the same `shallowEqual` comparison logic used internally by React to prevent unnecessary re-renders of components with unchanged props and state. This project is unmaintained and has been superseded by React's official `react-addons-shallow-compare` package.
