FreeOrion is a free, open-source, turn-based space empire and galactic conquest game inspired by the Master of Orion series. It builds on the classic 4X model (eXplore, eXpand, eXploit, eXterminate) and allows for extensive customization through scripting capabilities, enabling a dynamic and living universe in a grand campaign setting.
