The **@feathersjs/socketio** package provides a Socket.io transport layer for Feathers.js, enabling real‑time communication (WebSocket events) in Feathers applications. It’s a plug‑in for developers building Node.js APIs with Feathers who need live updates via Socket.io; the code now lives in the main Feathers monorepo but can be installed and used exactly as before.
