Web WorldWind‑ESA is a fork of NASA’s Web WorldWind library that adds a suite of ESA‑specific capabilities—such as WKT and AAIGrid readers, GeoJSON/WKT exporters, heat‑map layers, enhanced elevation handling (WCS 2.0.1, AAIGrid), advanced camera controls, OpenSearch for EO, Sentinel‑2 cloud‑less basemap, time‑based visibility and animated gridded layers, plus performance and rendering improvements. It is packaged as an NPM module for developers building Earth‑observation web applications for the European Space Agency and its industry partners.
