The **object.groupby** package provides a polyfill/shim for the upcoming `Object.groupBy` method, implementing the ES‑next proposal while remaining compatible back to ES3 environments. It lets developers group array elements (or other iterable values) into an object keyed by a selector function, and can be used to patch missing native implementations or replace existing ones in any JavaScript project that needs consistent grouping behavior across browsers or older runtimes.
