This project provides a TCP-to-Socket.IO tunneling proxy, enabling TCP connections to be established through Socket.IO without requiring TLS termination. It was originally designed to facilitate email sending from browser environments where raw TCP sockets aren't supported. However, the project is now deprecated and no longer maintained, with users directed to alternatives like Nodemailer for email functionality or native Node.js capabilities for Electron-based platforms.
