charwise is a codec for JavaScript values, including arrays, that preserves lexicographic sort order when encoded, making it suitable for building indexes on top of LevelDB. It's designed for developers working with LevelDB and similar databases who need a faster alternative to bytewise for encoding keys while maintaining compatible sort order.
