ed2curve‑js is a tiny JavaScript library that transforms Ed25519 signing keys (as produced by TweetNaCl.js) into Curve25519 Diffie‑Hellman keys, letting the same 32‑byte public key be used for both digital signatures and encrypted communication with NaCl’s `box` API. It’s aimed at web or Node developers who want to simplify key management by deriving encryption keys from existing Ed25519 keys, while acknowledging that the cryptographic safety of this conversion is not formally proven.
