**style‑search** is a tiny Node.js utility that scans a CSS (or CSS‑like) string for one or more target substrings while letting you control whether matches inside comments, strings, function names, function arguments, or any parenthetical sections are ignored, required, or reported. It’s aimed at tool‑makers—linters, preprocessors, or build scripts—that need reliable, context‑aware CSS text searches without pulling in a full parser like PostCSS.
