dat‑dns is a lightweight Node.js library that resolves “Dat” (and similar decentralized‑storage) archive identifiers from domain names by querying DNS TXT records over HTTPS or fetching a /.well‑known/dat file on the host, with an in‑memory (and optionally persistent) cache. It’s aimed at developers building applications that need to map human‑readable hostnames to Dat archive keys, offering a simple API and configurable fallback mechanisms.
