`require-esm-as-empty-object` is a tiny Node.js helper that lets legacy CommonJS code safely `require()` an ES Module by intercepting the “Error [ERR_REQUIRE_ESM]” and returning an empty object (`{}`) instead. It’s aimed at developers who need a quick workaround for projects that still use `require()` with packages that have switched to ESM, without refactoring the entire codebase.
