This project provides a JavaScript implementation of the PBKDF2 key derivation function using SHA256 HMAC, primarily designed for compatibility with the Scrypt algorithm. It is deprecated and users are advised to switch to the maintained [pbkdf2](https://www.npmjs.com/package/pbkdf2) package instead.
