It encodes NaCl key pairs and sealed messages (including version, algorithm, ephemeral public key, nonce/IV and ciphertext) as base‑64url strings separated by dots, making it easy for JavaScript/Node developers to generate, transmit and store end‑to‑end encrypted data.
