The **geth‑dev‑assistant** is a tiny Node‑JS utility that automates the setup of a temporary Geth `--dev` Proof‑of‑Authority blockchain inside Docker. It pulls a specified Geth image, starts the client, waits until the JSON‑RPC endpoint is live, and can optionally generate and fund test accounts and mine until a target gas limit is reached—making it handy for developers and CI pipelines that need a fast, disposable Ethereum test network.
