CANboat is a collection of command‑line tools and libraries for working with marine CAN networks, chiefly NMEA 2000 (and some NMEA 0183). It provides a reverse‑engineered PGN database and utilities to decode, encode, read and write N2K messages, aimed at developers, engineers and hobbyists who need to inspect, troubleshoot or integrate with boat CAN bus systems rather than end‑users looking for a ready‑made GUI.
