Piglet is a lightweight REST‑ful service for storing and retrieving time‑series data. It lets clients POST numeric values (optionally timestamped) under arbitrary hierarchical IDs and types, and later fetch ranges of that data as JSON or rendered charts, with support for slicing, aggregation, glob‑style selectors and merging of series—making it useful for developers or ops teams who need a simple, programmable metrics store and visualization endpoint.
