Automatic, contextual awareness of your codebase for LLM coding buddies. Gives coding agents a mental map of your codebase with progressive disclosure, like foldable code sections in an IDE, but for LLMs. Helps keep context window clean and bloat free!
MCP-Codemap is a development tool that provides coding agents with a structured mental map of a codebase, enabling efficient exploration through progressive disclosure similar to IDE code folding. It parses source files with tree-sitter, builds an entity-relationship graph in SQLite, and exposes three tools: `map` for structural overviews at varying detail levels, `query` for deep dives on specific entities, and `reindex` for keeping the index current. The project targets developers working with AI coding assistants, reducing context window bloat by replacing dozens of file reads with one or two structured queries across 20+ supported languages.
