`node-unix-dgram` adds native support for UNIX‑domain datagram sockets to Node.js, letting JavaScript code send and receive unconnected or connected datagram messages through filesystem path names. It provides a small, synchronous‑event API (`createSocket`, `bind`, `connect`, `send`, `send_to`, etc.) aimed at server‑side developers who need fast, low‑overhead inter‑process communication on POSIX systems.
