common‑streams is a small Node.js utility library that provides ready‑to‑use stream classes such as `HashStream`, `SizeStream`, `RandomStream`, `DiscardStream` and `MeterStream`. It lets developers easily compute hashes, measure byte counts, generate random data, discard portions of a stream, or throttle flow, making it useful for anyone building file‑processing, data‑pipeline, or networking code in Node 6+.
