Smithy is a lightweight Node.js library that provides a single, unified API for preprocessing CSS and JavaScript meta‑languages (e.g., Sass, Less, CoffeeScript). It lazily loads the required compiler modules only when needed, letting developers easily switch between different preprocessors without adding extra dependencies to their projects.
