browser‑launcher2 is a Node.js utility that detects the browsers installed on a workstation and can start them in isolated (or headless) profiles for automated testing, offering options such as proxy settings, detached mode, and custom command‑line arguments. It supports major desktop browsers (Chrome, Chromium, Firefox, IE, Opera, Safari, PhantomJS) across Windows, macOS, and Linux, and is aimed at developers writing test suites or scripts that need to program‑matically launch browsers. (Note: the package is now unmaintained.)
