optimal‑select is a tiny (~11 KB) JavaScript library that generates the shortest, most reliable CSS selector for one or more DOM elements. It’s aimed at developers who need a stable “fingerprint” of elements—e.g., for testing, scraping, or UI automation—and works in browsers as well as server‑side environments that use htmlparser2/cheerio.
