The `@advanced-rest-client/xhr-simple-request` web component is a lightweight wrapper around `XMLHttpRequest` that lets API‑related components in the Advanced REST Client ecosystem trigger requests and listen for responses via `api-request` and `api-response` custom events. It’s intended for developers building or extending REST‑API tools (e.g., API consoles, mock servers, or UI elements) who need a simple, event‑driven way to send XHR calls without pulling in a full‑featured request library. (The project is now deprecated in favor of the newer `api-request` module.)
