The **SkyWalking NodeJS Agent** is an npm package that adds native APM tracing to Node.js services by automatically instrumenting popular libraries (Express, MySQL, MongoDB, AWS SDK, etc.) and sending data to an Apache SkyWalking backend (OAP 8.0+). It’s aimed at developers and operators of microservice‑based, cloud‑native Node.js applications who need distributed‑trace visibility across HTTP, database, messaging and serverless workloads.
