grunt‑versioner is a Grunt plugin that automates bumping a project’s version number, updating that number in source files (e.g., package.json, bower.json, README, YUIdoc comments), committing the changes, tagging the commit, pushing to a remote repository and optionally publishing to npm. It’s aimed at JavaScript developers who use Grunt and need a streamlined, configurable workflow for releasing new versions of Git‑hosted libraries or applications.
